The low VOC water-based exterior enamels which Painted Earth sell perform equally as well as oil based enamels.
Oil-based enamels contain extremely high levels of VOCs. Typically about 350g/L. This is a major area where use of the modern water based enamels makes a huge difference to the health of the painter, the occupants of the house, and our environment.
Exterior enamels are generally used on timber or metal trim but can also be used for weather boards and other exterior cladding. ROCKCOTE Ecostyle satin and gloss are hard wearing enamels containing less than 3g/L VOC - one of the lowest for water based enamels on the Australian market. They are extremely pleasant and easy to use and carry a 15 year exterior warranty when used as directed.
We also include MUROBOND Aqua Glaze Pearl, Bridge Paint, and Rust Paint for decorative exterior trim or feature panels.
