At Painted Earth we know preparation is half the job. It can sometimes be more than half the job - as anyone who has stripped off an old finish will know!
Preparation dictates the quality of the final result. We have tested all the products we sell so we know they give great results. However, to get these great results it's important to follow the correct preparation and application. In our experience the majority of poor results, such as patchy finish, poor adhesion, or poor durability of a finish occur because of incorrect preparation.
Many of the products we sell are unique 'new generation' products. Assuming preparation is the same as for other products you have used can lead to mistakes (made in good faith). Reading the Technical Data Sheets is the best way to understand correct preparation for a product.

Economical and ready to use highly alkaline paint stripper suitable for stripping varnish and paint from wood or metal.
An alkaline cleaner for heavier stains and dirt. Use for cleaning tiles, washbasins & wooden surfaces. Also useful for cleaning floors before rejuvenation. Dilute in spray bottle for cleaning. Full strength on difficult stains.
Prepares timber for good bonding of the RUBIO MONOCOAT Oil Plus 2C, by removing all dust and natural surface oils.
A non-toxic alternative to turps. Made from isoaliphates and orange oil. Use to thin oils and clean brushes. Also used by artists as a thinner & cleaner for oil-based paints.
An industrial strength cleaner/degreaser based on citrus oils. Removes excess Lanotec Timber Seal, and to prepares concrete floors for paint adhesion. Removes adhesives, glues, grease, chewing gum and paint, and cleans stainless steel and aluminium.
